Chris
Cain was born and raised in rural North Devon. After a
BA Hons Degree in Fine Art, he worked for six years in
Adult Education teaching art.
In
1998 he moved to Brighton, beginning work as a professional
sculptor. His quirky individual work reflects his love
of nature and organic forms from his West Country background.
He
works mainly with recycled metals. His copper garden features
are prematurely aged with acid for the blue green verdigris
effect. His love of nature is reflected in his lamps,
each one unique and beautifully shaped to echo natural
plant forms.
