Trojan
House Founder & Curator
My
work is about atmosphere, feeling and colour. As both
a Painter and a Printmaker, I blur the boundaries between
the two, often mixing media within an image. Enjoying
the process of creation and allowing myself the freedom
to experiment keeps my work fresh and exciting.
My
more abstract and free landscapes, skies and seas capture
the enchanting beauty of the South Downs and the Sussex
Coast - layers of collage and splashes of paint convey
the ambience, the mood, the timeless essence of each place.
My
wildlife and animal paintings and etchings are rich in
attitude and character. Their personalities come alive,
touching your heart as they make you smile.
My
paintings and prints have been featured in many local
newspapers and magazines including Arty
Magazine,
Brighton & Hove Life
and Sussex
Life.
I am a Contributing
Author
in the recently published printmaking manual Printmaking
Traditional and Contemporary Techniques.
I
open my house as The Trojan House as part of the Artists
Open Houses Festival in May and at Christmas.
I
also curate and organise Shows throughout the year.
